WorkAir
is a multidisciplinary practice specialising in occupational medicine, health
and safety. Located on the Adelaide Airport precinct, the practice caters to the
Occupational Health and Safety needs of those who work on the airport in many
different industries, as well as a general practice for the airport community.

Our occupational health professionals include physicians, general practitioners,
physiotherapists, and nurses.

Occupational medicine services include injury management, initial and ongoing, pre-employment medical assessments, rehabilitation, and work site assessments.

The physicians at WorkAir have a particular interest in occupational health and
medical support for the aerospace industry.

The name WorkAir reflects the combined disciplines of general occupational
health and the sub-discipline of aviation medicine.

 

Dr Grantley Tschirn MB BS GDOH

Born SA, undergraduate medical training at Adelaide University, served Royal Australian Airforce medical branch 3 years then
RAAF Reserve (current). Held positions as Senior Medical Officer
RAAF Edinburgh, Senior Health Officer (military health) SA,
Project Officer Defence Health services Canberra .
Worked in medical field in Northern Territory NSW and ACT.

Assessing Medical Officer Civil Aviation Safety Authority and Designated Aviation Medical Examiner SA. Obtained postgraduate qualifications in occupational health 2003 and now completing advanced training in Occupational medicine having passed AFOM (RACP) physician examinations in 2006.

Special interests are musculoskeletal ultrasound diagnosis and management of soft tissue musculoskeletal conditions, chemical
and radiation health effects.

 

Dr Gordon Cable MB BS DAvMed MRAeS

Gordon graduated Medicine with Honours at the University of
Sydney in 1987, and started training for his private pilot's
licence almost immediately.
He completed the Australian Certificate of Civil Aviation
Medicine in 1992, and a Postgraduate Diploma of Aviation
Medicine in 1996. Gordon was President of the Australasian
Society of Aerospace Medicine from 2001 - 2007.

He is an Associate Fellow of the Aerospace Medical Association,
a member of the International Academy of Aviation and Space
Medicine, and a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
From 19967-2007 he provided aerospace medicine expertise
to the RAAF Institute of Aviation Medicine and was an affiliate Senior Lecturer in Aerospace Medicine in the School of Population Health and Clinical Practice at the University of Adelaide.

He is currently training towards fellowship of the Australasian
Faculty of Occupational and Enviromental Medicine (RACP).

 

Dr Geoffrey Graham MBBS FAFO E M (RACP)

Geoffrey worked as a general practitioner and sports medicine practitioner prior to moving into occupational medicine.

He was awarded Fellowship of the Australasian College of Occupational Medicine (now AFO E M) in 1986 and currently provides a consultancy in occupational medicine to a number of companies and organisations.

He is registered to practice as a specialist occupational physician in four states and is a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner accredited with CASA and Hong Kong CAD.
